ABOUT JAKE

I am an Internal Family Systems® trained consciousness, mindset, and mentality coach and a student of Kabbalah and A Course in Miracles.  I explore the practical use of  spiritual technology and mysticism along with the evidence based approach of IFS to discuss how we can make new choices that move our lives forward in new ways.  Although I have been coaching clients since 2007, I have spent the majority of my professional life working in theatre and television as an actor and a teacher. I have my M.F.A. in Acting and my classical training as an actor taught me how to embody the thinking of a character, which made me get curious about the mechanics and complexity of what it takes to be a human being.

 

It was the study of drama and character analysis plus a feeling of “stuckness” in my own life that sparked my fascination with the triggers of human behavior, my interest in emotional work, and the curiosity that there must be something more to our lives than what we see on the surface, so I started exploring different spiritual wisdoms and found great resonance with A Course in Miracles and Kabbalah.

 

Working with an ESI© (Emotional Stress Integration) practitioner in 2001 helped me achieve milestones in personal growth. and I went on to become certified in the ESI® technique.  I developed my practice by honing in on the subconscious emotional components of health related issues and physical allergies alongside a NAET® practitioner (www.NAET.com).  My goal was to help clients to find the subconscious beliefs that were integral to the creation and continuation of both physical and emotional issues that they were experiencing. Success with those clients led me to dive deeper into discovering processes and techniques that could expand my ability to serve my clients.  Discovering IFS® felt like the missing link in my process.  I am IFS trained (Level 2) and am constantly reaching for a deeper understanding of what gives our lives meaning and purpose.

I am an Internal Family Systems® trained practitioner.  I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and French from Illinois State university and a Master’s of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Florida State University.
